Job Description

At Luko, Lukooms’ forces are divided into tribes, set up on a product-based organisation. Each tribe constitutes several cross-functional squads (product + engineering + design) and executes towards its own roadmap for customer and business impact.

User Acquisition tribe focuses on Luko’s growth via the acquisition of new customers

Moment of Truth tribe aims at delighting our users throughout the whole life of their contract - claims included

New Business tribe focuses on launching new products, services and markets

User Life tribe maximises customer touchpoints by creating engagement opportunities. They are a home care partner guiding customers to the right solution

CoreInsurance tribe owns all the products and features in order to support Luko's Insurance activities, from regulation to tech


The New Business tribe

As part of New Business, you will be focused on Luko's new launches. Whether that means verifying market needs by launching new insurance products and services or expanding into new countries and scaling internationally.

Your mission in the Belgium team

You will bring Luko from 0 to 1 (and beyond) to Belgium. This requires you to be entrepreneurial in your approach: strategic in defining opportunities and hands-on in actually making them happen. You will build a team for everything that has to be localised (such as brand & marketing) while leveraging the scale-up expertise of the central teams (such as finance and paid social).

  • Define the go-to-market strategy in Belgium in terms of organisational set-up and product-market fit
  • Open and build Luko's business in Belgium, generate revenues and reach targets, leveraging all potential acquisition channels
  • Be Luko's voice and smile in media, build a strong local consumer brand that speaks to our core Belgium target first. Put Luko on Belgium's top consumer product & brand map
  • Be accountable for Luko Belgium's P&L (including operations)
  • Closely work and coordinate with the French HQ for the central functions (e.g., Finance, HR) and some operational functions (e.g., claims)
  • Recruit and manage the Belgium local team
  • Create strong distribution partnerships and bounds with the Belgium tech & insurance ecosystem

Who are you?

Must have

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, feeling comfortable making decisions in fast-paced and changing environments
  • Min 7 + years in GM, growth, consulting or investment banking roles or similar experience
  • Great analytical skills and a structured way of thinking to A/B testing & pivot
  • Solutions orientated, demonstrating good problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to communicate proactively with a clear & positive approach
  • Confident negotiator
  • Creative mindset with a bias for innovation, trial & testing
  • A strong interest in tech, fintech, insurtech – ideally you have previous experience in this space

Languages: Native or fluent Dutch and English are mandatory, French would be a plus

Nice to have

  • Experience in managing a P&L
  • Experience launching new countries or markets
