Job Description

At Luko, Lukooms’ forces are divided into 4 tribes, set up on a product-based organisation. Each tribe has its own roadmap with a product manager and a dedicated tech team: The MRR tribe that focuses on Luko’s growth via the acquisition of new customers, the NPS tribe is aimed at delighting our users throughout the whole life of their contract - claims included, and the TPM tribe that works on building the best connected devices and services to protect our homes.

As part of Central Tribe, you will be the first internal control manager at Luko and will report to the Head of Risk & Compliance. We want to promote a comprehensive internal control system, data-based, natively embedded in our set up: You will be the ambassador of a positive control culture, making first line of defense knowledgeable and accountable on their scope.

Your mission as Control Automation Manager

You will be the one crafting internal control at Luko. You will define a permanent internal control framework that aims at securing Luko's intense development and with the ambition to promote an innovative and tech-based approach.

  • Build a control framework for Luko on all activities, by order of priority based on risk assessment of our activities
  • Collaborate with Product to ensure that the control culture is embedded in the product as much as possible
  • Make the first line of defense accountable for risk management on their scope and coordinate actions within Luko by ensuring an integrated risk control strategy via sustainable guidelines and procedures
  • Help develop the compliance plan considering the key risks identified and accompany the Head of risk & compliance in other missions (GPR, IDD, Fraud, Fit and proper,...)
  • Build a strong reinsurance asset for our partners to ensure an adequate governance model
  • Support Compliance system actions & develop inspection on the control implemented

Preferred Experience

Who are you?

Must have

  • Background: Insurance sector (Audit or part of a control unit in a insurtech/fintech startup)
  • Good knowledge of risk cartography
  • Very positive and willing to promote a positive culture of control (engaging not scaring people)
  • Tech knowledge and interest (regtech, dev, innovative solutions for risk management)
  • Writing abilities, good analytical skills, ideally with tech skills
  • Excellent communication skills: You are able to popularize knowledge and information
  • You are very rigorous, patient and willing to learn and adapt to a new environment

  • You speak Spanish
