Job Description

Role based in Paris (Hybrid remote) - our office is located in the 2nd arr.

Your mission in the team:

Join Allianz Direct France, a key player in digital insurance transformation, as an Accounting and Tax Manager. You will play a vital role in producing HGB and IFRS financial statements, managing local ledgers, and ensuring tax compliance in close collaboration with internal teams and external advisors. Your work will guarantee the reliability of central closing processes while ensuring full compliance with French accounting and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production of HGB and IFRS accounts

    • Review postings made by the provider invoices team
    • Perform VAT calculation and allocation in the books
    • Manage the balance sheet in partnership with the Central team
    • Perform quarterly submissions in the Group system
  • Manage the local ledger

    • Transpose HGB books into French GAAP with support from EY (tax advisor)
    • Manage the accounting cycle related to French GAAP
    • Coordinate workstreams related to adapting Technical accounts to French GAAP
  • Manage French tax compliance with EY support

    • Calculate and declare VAT
    • Perform controls and declarations for IPT, FGTI contribution, and Barnier contribution
    • Lead the workstream for the production of the tax package (Liasse Fiscale)
  • Set up and run e-invoicing and e-reporting obligations (launch planned for September 2026)

Role Objectives

  • Ensure France is a reliable and trustworthy contributor to the Central closing processes

  • Produce and reconcile a local ledger on a monthly basis

  • Declare all taxes accurately and on time

  • Maintain full compliance with all French accounting and tax obligation

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Accounting, Finance, or Management (DSCG, Master CCA, or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in accounting and tax management, preferably in an international environment

  • Strong knowledge of HGB, IFRS, and French GAAP standards

  • Expertise in VAT management, tax declarations, and handling specific contributions

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external advisors (audit and tax consultants)

  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and rigor

  • Knowledge of or interest in AI tools applied to finance (automation, data analysis, etc.)

  • Fluent in French

  • Professional level of English

2. Hiring Manager interview with Francis, our Head of Finance

3. Culture fit interview followed by a live case study with the team
